Kite String Cantina

100% gluten-free

Chicago taquito bar whose kitchen has been entirely gluten-free and nut-free since it opened in 2018, run by chef Renee Ragin, a Frontera Foods alum. Tortillas are hand-pressed and taquitos hand-rolled, with vegetarian and vegan options always on the menu. The bar serves local beers, agave cocktails and cider: ask for a gluten-free drink.

No wheat, rye or barley flour ever enters the establishment.

Good to know if you have celiac disease

Gluten-removed barley beer. Some beers sold as "gluten-free" are barley beers treated enzymatically. Tests cannot reliably measure their residual gluten: they are not recommended for people with celiac disease.

Hidden in strict celiac mode.
