A gluten-free directory you can trust
Eating out while avoiding gluten is too often a gamble. Nutrixe exists to remove the gamble.
The problem
Most "gluten-free" address lists copy the same information from one site to another, without ever checking it. You'll find establishments that closed months ago, places listed as gluten-free that aren't, and no distinction between a fully dedicated kitchen and a restaurant that offers a salad. For someone with celiac disease, that confusion is not a minor detail.
Our approach
Nutrixe lists 100% gluten-free addresses: restaurants, bakeries, pastry shops, ice cream parlours, grocery stores. One founding rule guides everything else: nothing is published without human verification.
- Every address is checked at the source before it appears.
- Every listing shows its level of offer, any risks, and the date it was verified.
- Anything in doubt is not published: better one address short than one that's wrong.
How we verify
We cross-check several sources for every establishment: its own communications, its operating status, and details about its kitchen. We distinguish a fully dedicated place from a mixed kitchen, and we flag what matters to people with celiac disease, such as the use of oats or wheat flour handled on site. The full method is detailed in Understanding gluten-free.
Independent and free
Nutrixe does not charge any establishment to appear in the directory, and a place cannot buy a better ranking. The information is provided for guidance: it helps you choose, without replacing a conversation with the establishment on the day of your visit or the advice of a healthcare professional.
This directory grows with you. Do you know an address that deserves to be listed? Does something look outdated? Your help makes the tool better for the whole community.
