Privacy Policy

Nutrixe is built to work without an account and without tracking you. Here is what is collected — and above all, what is not.

Data controller

The mobile app

• No account. The app works without any sign-up: we know neither your name nor your e-mail address.
• Your data stays on your phone. Scan history, favourites, trip lists, settings and your situation (coeliac, sensitive, by choice) are stored locally and never sent to our servers.
• Camera. It is used solely to read barcodes, on the device. No photo is saved; no image ever leaves your phone.
• Scanning a product. To identify a product missing from the built-in database, the barcode (and nothing else) is sent to Open Food Facts, with no personal identifier.
• Subscriptions. Purchases go through Apple's App Store. Our provider RevenueCat (RevenueCat Inc.) validates receipts using an anonymous identifier, with no name or e-mail. Nutrixe never sees your payment details.
• Notifications. The trial-end reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device — nothing is sent from a server.
• Usage measurement. Since version 1.0.1, the app counts screens opened and a few actions (a product scanned, the paywall shown) using Matomo, installed on our own servers. The identifier used is drawn at random on first launch: it is not derived from any identifier on your phone, does not follow you outside the app, and disappears with it. Neither the identity of a scanned product, nor your location, nor the contents of your history are transmitted. No advertising identifier is used.
• No ads, no trackers. The app contains no advertising tools, no cross-app tracking, and no data resale.

The nutrixe.app website

• Browsing. No advertising cookies, no tracking, no profiling. Site traffic is measured with Matomo, installed on our own servers: no cookie is set, your IP address is truncated before it is stored, and no data goes to any third party. It is this setup that lets us spare you a consent banner. If you would rather not be counted at all, you can opt out here: that will then be the only cookie this site ever sets — the one remembering your refusal. The map background is provided by OpenFreeMap and OpenStreetMap; displaying it involves a technical request to those services.
• Forms. Submissions to "Report an error" and "Suggest an address" are kept to handle your request. The optional e-mail is used only to get back to you about it.
• Newsletter. Your address, collected with your consent, is hosted in France (Supabase, Paris region) and used only for directory news. Unsubscribe at any time via the link in every e-mail or by simple request.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and delete data about you. Write to the contact address above; you may also lodge a complaint with the French authority CNIL (cnil.fr).

If this policy changes, this page is updated and the date below reflects it.
