Chessy means Disneyland Paris, and the 4 verified addresses in our database are all inside the parks. None is a dedicated kitchen, but the resort has an organisation few towns can match: an allergen binder at every counter, separate menus free of the main allergens, and at least one separate fryer. This guide says what each address offers, and where the risk remains whole.

Disneyland Park

  • Cowboy Cookout Barbecue, Frontierland: a western barn serving grill plates at the counter. Several full meals are gluten-free — sausage, ribs, half chicken and chips — and the chips are cooked in a separate fryer. The children’s sausage-and-chips menu and the almond Magnum ice cream are also flagged gluten-free. The allergen binder is handed over on request, and the venue appears in Disneyland Paris’s official allergy guide. The kitchen is still mixed.
  • Casa de Coco - Restaurante de Familia, Mexican-inspired, in the world of Coco, opened in July 2023: the team presents an allergen binder at the till and offers a separate menu of dishes free of the main allergens — starter, main and dessert; the chips are marked gluten-free. Mixed kitchen with wheat tortillas, no documented anti-contamination protocol: ask for the binder and flag your celiac disease before ordering.
  • Restaurant Hakuna Matata, Adventureland: a counter in Lion King colours, where a gluten-free menu is handed over on request. Rice dishes with tomato sauce, chicken, fish or vegetarian, form the base, with sweet potato fries. Non-dedicated kitchen, caution flagged for celiacs: speak to the Cast Member as soon as you order.

Walt Disney Studios Park

PYM Kitchen, Avengers Campus: an all-you-can-eat Ant-Man-themed buffet, self-service dishes. The allergen list for the whole buffet is provided on request by the Cast Members, but self-service means a real risk of cross-contamination between the trays: ask for a plate to be prepared for you in the kitchen. A celiac blog reports that the sheet handed over on site existed only in French. Why a buffet is the worst format for a celiac is explained here.

Our tips on site

  • Ask for the allergen binder at every counter, before looking at the menu: it is what tells you what is available to you, dessert included.
  • Say “je suis cœliaque” or “I have celiac disease” to the Cast Member: the teams are used to an international clientele, and it is the word that triggers a separate preparation.
  • No special booking for gluten-free: the 48-hour notice Disney asks for applies to halal and kosher meals. For an allergy or intolerance, Disneyland Paris asks you to flag it when you arrive at the restaurant.
  • The safe chips are in Frontierland. Elsewhere, with no confirmed separate fryer, go for rice or sweet potato. The rest of the Île-de-France, starting with Paris and its 45 dedicated kitchens, is in our guide to gluten-free holidays in France.
