Otherwise Brewing
Wheat-free, uses oatsThe Otherwise brewery taproom in North Beach, San Francisco: beers brewed only with naturally gluten-free grains (rice, millet, quinoa, buckwheat), wine, non-alcoholic drinks and a small bites menu, all gluten-free. The beer is produced in a facility that also handles gluten, and oats are among the grains tested: poorly tolerated by some people with coeliac disease.
No wheat, rye or barley, but oats are used on site: a risk for many people with coeliac disease.
Good to know if you have celiac disease
Cross-contamination risk. Mixed kitchen, not entirely dedicated to gluten-free: contact with or shared preparation alongside gluten-containing products remains possible, even with no specific mechanism identified to date.
Contains oats. Oats not certified gluten-free are almost always contaminated with wheat during growing and milling. Even certified, their avenin protein is poorly tolerated by some people with celiac disease.

Sources — Verified on 07/10/2026: the "Taproom" page of the official website states that food and drinks are "everything gluten-free"; the FAQ explains that the beer is made in a facility that also handles gluten and that oats have been used experimentally.
