Dallas counts 3 verified addresses, all classed as fully dedicated kitchens — but the list has one quirk: none of them is a sit-down restaurant. Two bakery-patisseries and a prepared-meal counter, on which we keep a reservation. For a seated meal, our database still has nothing verified in this city.

The two dedicated bakeries

Unrefined Bakery, 6055 Sherry Lane, is a 100% gluten-free and soy-free bakery with organic ingredients and keto, vegan and paleo options: house-made cakes, breads and treats. It is a well-established Texan brand, also present in Fort Worth, Frisco and Richardson. The official site, the Facebook page (“100% Gluten & Soy Free”) and Find Me Gluten Free all agree.

JOY Macarons, 1927 Greenville Avenue, makes French macarons and artisan ice cream that are entirely gluten-free. The official site confirms an entirely gluten-free range, and the Find Me Gluten Free listing for the Greenville Avenue address classes it as dedicated; Atly and DallasMeal round it out. This is the address for a treat with no label to read.

The grab-and-go counter, with a reservation

Snap Kitchen, 2222 McKinney Avenue, right in the center, sells healthy meals to go where the entire menu is gluten-free, soy-free and free of artificial preservatives: salads, pasta, desserts, snacks, prepared daily and lab-tested to check for gluten traces. The brand’s site announces a 100% gluten-free menu across all its branches, and both Find Me Gluten Free and Gluten Free Follow Me list it.

The reservation, plainly: our listing for this address keeps a cross-contamination flag, which is not the case for either bakery. If you are very reactive, treat Snap Kitchen as a stopgap rather than a guarantee, and read the label on whatever dish you pick up.

Our tips on site

  • Say “I have celiac disease” rather than “I’m gluten-free”: the first phrase is heard as a medical constraint.
  • Two levels of trust in this list: the bakeries on one side, the counter flagged for cross-contamination on the other. What “dedicated kitchen” means explains why the nuance matters.
  • Three separate areas: McKinney Avenue downtown, Greenville Avenue and Sherry Lane. None of these addresses can be strung together on foot.
  • In the US, the GIG (Gluten Intolerance Group) certifies gluten-free establishments and Beyond Celiac informs patients. For the rest of the country, see our guide to gluten-free travel in the USA.

Explore the 3 addresses

Every address cited has been verified at the source: existence, actual gluten-free level, risks. All 3 are on the Nutrixe map. Three addresses for Dallas is too few, and we know it: if you know a dedicated kitchen or a serious menu, suggest it. The full list is on our page gluten-free restaurants in Dallas.
