Oklahoma City has 3 verified addresses, and all 3 are fully dedicated kitchens: no wheat flour on the premises, no question to ask. A notable feature: all three are classed as restaurants — no gluten-free bakery or grocery here. A Nigerian kitchen, the state’s only cidery, and a plant-based restaurant, two of them downtown.
The city in numbers
The two downtown addresses
Naija Wife Kitchen, 119 North Robinson Avenue, is a fully gluten-free Nigerian restaurant: jollof rice, pounded yam fufu, fried plantains, spicy suya, and many vegan options. Owner-chef Tahnee Francis was a 2025 James Beard finalist. The status is announced on the restaurant’s official Facebook page — “completely Gluten Free Nigerian restaurant” — and repeated by the VisitOKC and Ethnyq directories. Online ordering available.
OK Cider Co, 705 West Sheridan Avenue, is Oklahoma’s only cidery. Its drinks are naturally gluten-free and made without gluten grains: that’s the fundamental difference with beer, brewed from barley, which celiacs should avoid by default. The spacious, air-conditioned tasting room, with a homey vintage feel, welcomes families and dogs. The official website, TravelOK and Visit OKC confirm.
The Midtown plant-based restaurant
Plant, 1120 North Walker Avenue, is a vegetarian and vegan restaurant whose kitchen is entirely gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free and peanut-free. Sandwiches, pastries, soups, smoothies and juices, made with local and organic ingredients. This is the address to remember if you’re stacking several exclusions: the whole menu is readable without any trade-offs. The official website, HappyCow and Tripadvisor confirm it.
Our tips on site
- Say “I have celiac disease,” not “gluten-free.” In the US, the second phrase is very often understood as a dietary preference.
- Watch out for “gluten-free” beer elsewhere in town. At OK Cider Co, the cider is gluten-free by nature; in an ordinary bar, the question comes up with every label.
- Two addresses downtown. North Robinson Avenue and West Sheridan Avenue share zip code 73102; Midtown requires a separate trip.
- In the US, the reference associations are the Gluten Intolerance Group and Beyond Celiac. For the rest of the country, see our guide to gluten-free travel in the USA.
